INFRASTRUCTURE CREATION AND SUPPORT TO MAKE IN INDIA INITIATIVE
Indian Railways has taken a giant leap forward in ‘Make in India’ drive by signing Understanding for setting up of Diesel Locomotive Factory (DLF) at Marhowra, Saran district, Bihar for procurement as well as maintenance of mainline most modern high power Diesel Electric Locomotives with M/s GE Diesel Locomotive Pvt. HIGH SPEED TRAINS

66. Indian Railways given helping hand through the Nepal earthquake tragedy by transporting Nepal evacuees and by supplying ‘Rail Neer’ bottles. Likewise, Railways also helped during the J&K floods. In extending help to the Indian nationals returning from Yemen also Railways were in the forefront.
